Before I say anything else, I need to explain why I’m in my car in this video, just so you don’t think I’m really weird (I mean, c’mon, we can all agree that I’m somewhat weird). There are two places in my universe where it is quiet enough to film a video blog: my bedroom, and my car. But on Friday, Ellie was napping, and Mike was reading in bed, so, out to the car I went. And now I’m pretty sure my neighbors think I’m insane, on account that saw me talking to myself for 4 straight minutes in the car. Hazards of the job, I suppose.

You’ll be happy to know that I’m still giving money to the Food Bank, even though we didn’t meet our goal. It’s not even a choice. And to be honest, I was probably going to do it soon anyway. Someday I’ll tell you guys the story of how, for a while growing up, all we had was powdered milk, and food that came in brown boxes that looked like military MREs. Needless to say, I’ll be grateful for the food bank for the rest of my life.
