Who’s getting your best?

For months I was haunted by the question “what would your life look like if you gave the best of yourself to the people you love, instead of the people giving you money?” And now we’re taking steps to figure that out.

  1. I think it’s a grand question (and convicting – which is okay) – I also think we go through “who am I am, anyway?” whenever we change jobs, change positions in our jobs, change roles – and all the shake ups for me have eventually got to me to the truth: I’m more than my job, my roles, my titles. Sometimes the changes come w/ some “humiliations” and i’ve decided that I feel humbled that I needed to be humbled. A child of God, loved, so that I can love. xx, s.

    • Yes! I love this. We’re definitely more than the sum of our rolls, titles and responsibilities. Letting go of all of that was challenging, probably because I was deriving so much of my value from my role in the marketplace.
